2018 Goals

This is probably the 4th or 5th year that I’m posting about my goals. I remember doing this back in college when I was still on Tumblr. So probably about 6 years or so… 2016 was all about travel goals, 2017 was about finding myself, and now for 2018 I want to focus on my advocacy particularly:

  • be fit and healthy through yoga/muay thai
  • blog as soon as it happens and not leave a backlog
  • memorize Japanese alphabet by April 2018
  • get a driver’s license
  • continue training on freediving
  • do well in graduate school and internship
  • establish own NGO and social enterprise
  • focus learning Spanish in preparation for FSOE in 2020
  • finish reading my stock books (already about 20 books collected throughout 2017 and pending to be read) on world history, economics, politics, and community development
  • Japan (Kyoto, Misawa, Cat Island, Rabbit/Cat Island)
  • South Korea (Busan, Jeju)
  • USA
  • Indonesia
  • Taiwan
  • all over the Philippines

As of writing, I already got my South Korea multiple-entry visa. I hope to get the same when I apply for my 2nd Japan visa this February. I’m already looking forward to my Cherry Blossom tour in Kyoto and my snow experience in Misawa since I already booked my ticket last Christmas. For USA and Indonesia, I hope I get to travel as part of the programs/fellowships I applied for. I also see myself traveling a lot domestically for advocacy work :)

Like I said in my previous post, 2017 was all about applying to many programs and establishing the Dream Team as a power team. Our 2018 will be all about winning and implementing our community projects and pushing through our social enterprise. I’m already excited ~ may fate look upon us favorably.
