I found the secret to Koreans’ glowing skin!
Adding that extra shimmer may sound like a bad idea especially for us who live in warm climates. But I found out that there is a fine line between being oily-faced and having that inner glow.
I used to go with just a moisturizer and a BB cream. I used the moisturizer to aid in the application of BB cream since without it, the BB leaves streaks and is hard to spread without so much effort. I am afraid my skin will sag in the future if I keep that pace.
Price and Usage
What I really loved about this volumer is even at P798.00 I think it’s worth it. A bottle will last you really long since you only need 1/3 of the BB cream you’re using (application ratio is 1:3 volumer to BB cream). According to what I read, it’s best applied with a BB brush.
But somehow this image vouches for the patting technique…
Without the volumer, my face gets oily after around 2 hours, and I need to blot the excess oil and dust a bit of face powder on top. I say dust because if you press your powder, it may start to look cakey considering that I apply a very thin layer of BB cream only.
With the volumer, instead of an oily shine, I get a moist glow like I just washed my face. I didn’t need an oil blotter since a small tissue worked fine to reduce shine. 6 hours later, my face still has that moist glow.
*biased! she already had glowing skin to begin with…still
The best part, it is waterproof to an extent. I ran around school all day having my clearance signed, crossing Faura to Pedro Gil under the heat of the sun was no joke and I sweat profusely. Unconsciously, I wiped off the sweat on my forehead with the back of my hand and *le gasp* I remember that I have something on my face that might get smudged if I wipe it off so roughly like I do. Upon checking with my compact mirror… no smudges, no cakey face, just a moist glow!!
On me: The Face Shop E’thym Collagen Water Moisture Lotion, Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream #1, Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer #2.
This one’s taken after running around all day under the sun! I know I look so stressed but the glow is still there! No edits at all except for a little background blurring :)
